Dharma Certification for Recruits!

Today’s date is November 18th, 2008.
Why am I noting the date? I find it curious that the Dharma Initiative has released our Volunteer Assessment Dossier just about a month sooner than we were told they would.
We received an email from Hans Van Eeghen, Head of Recruiting,
explaining the news that this is a result of the “financial crisis.”

It seems that the powerful Dharma Initiative and their benefactors have fallen victim to the economy. This “reversal of fortune” has led to the Dharma Initiative to be purchased by the TV show LOST.
He also reports that the principals representing the benefactors – his employers - have gone missing.
“Based on bills still coming into our office we believe they are somewhere in South America.”
Mr. Van Eeghen is seeking employment as senior sales management for job at a large multi-brand auto dealership in Dubai, in the Middle East.   Apparently his personal life has been a bit... disrupted. At least he’s willing to give us a Dharma discount on a new car.

There is, of course a hidden message within the email.   An email address to “DSAqadaatgmaildotcom”.

Part of his email was encouraging. He explains in the meantime, we will hear shortly from LOST showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.   They will explain to you their future plans for the Dharma Initiative and how these plans might affect you.

In closing he writes…
“Thank you again, personally, for your unflagging commitment and support. I hope our paths will one day cross again. In the meantime may the spirit of the island guide you.”

I was excited to receive my personal test result. I was certified and appointed the position of Research Assistant in the Human Interaction Analysis Program.

I for one know that my personal dedication and fervent commitment to the “Island” is unwavering.
I still have high hopes that my calling will lead me to the "Island".

Is this the end of the ARG or a new beginning?  What are your thoughts on the ARG?  What position did you get with the DI?  Share your thoughts with me.

I still can’t help but wonder….What the hell is next?

LOST Italiano!

Hi Losties,

I had the honor of being interviewed for Italian LOST fans over at Sceneggiatori News.
It was so much fun to talk about LOST. And I was even asked to share a little bit about myself. (Which I don’t usually do). Some things may surprise you.
Elena asked great questions!

If you’d like to check it out, it can be read in English and in Italian.

Grazie molte Elena!

LOST'S CONNECTING PATHWAYS.

Hi LOST fans!

We know I feel the "Islanders" are really never out of the "confines" of the "Island" or surrounding "Islands." I've talked about it many times.
I've been asked for a long time now why I feel there are hatches/stations all over "their world"...The "LOST world".  The time has come to address this.
These hatches/stations would be in places such as England, Australia, New York, L.A., Miami, Tunisia, Norway, France, Fiji, etc... This would be in addition to many more hatches/stations on the main "Island" itself.  You can find hints to all of this in my posted notes.  Besides mentioning there being many doors, I've described things kind of like a honeycomb of sorts.

Do all of the hatches/stations physically connect to one another?  Or if not, are they just additional study sites that are all associated?  Of course, "pathways" could be nothing more than a metaphor for things like "pathways of the mind" and/or things of more of a psychological matter.   How about a metaphor? We know the show gives us lots of information and clues using metaphors.
After all, isn't them being "LOST" a metaphor? I guess we have to wait and see.

But if they are connected, could these hatches/stations all over "the world" be part of how you can get to and from the "Island"?   Couldn't it be that they're all connected because...they are all connected!
As in the "world" they are experiencing this adventure is connected to everything they perceive to be part of "their real world".

Well here is one of the reasons I feel there is some "connecting" factor...
Hallways, tunnels, tubes, roads or even the term portal. My first hint of this came when Rose mentions that the {Monster} sound she heard reminds her of the subway in the Bronx.
Then...the walls.
Yes, I am intelligent enough to understand the possibility of the walls being the same is simply set design. The designers could very well love the industrial look of the two tone walls.
Here I show how these "Station" walls, much like the wallpaper look of the medical station, the hospital Sun had the baby and even the Oceanic plane, are very, very similar. {You can find those pictures in my posts as well}
We have also had a hint all along of them {the "Island"} being inside of something. I.e. a bloody snow globe, etc.
I've hinted to the structure inside another structure in the clues. This MAY be part of connecting things too.

Does any of this mean anything? Am I noting things that really have nothing to do with the story? Am I "creating" connections or clues that aren't even really there?  Who the hell knows?!!  But apparently I do have way too much time on my hands. lol!

Either way this is LOST and we know somehow, some way, EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED.

This is just a shot of Ben peeking his head up through the air vents over the armory in the Swan Hatch.
But just as these types of vents are connected,that if there are major 'hallways or pathways' connecting hatches/stations?

I am showing the shot below, to note how we
see hints to structures being inside of
structures. This is a good example.
Candle is inside a glass room that apparently
is inside of another room.
Note the EXIT sign in
the background.

Here is a shot of Locke's sweat lodge that he built inside
the structure of Eko's church.

Note this ending logo shot shows us the underwater or reflection of a city.
But here we have an additional image above the logo.

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME. pt3.

Let's talk about LOST! There's No Place Like Home. Part 3

Sayid, dressed in black, approaches a man sitting in a car outside of Santa Rosa. He asks the man for the time.
Man-"8:15…"
Sayid fires three shots/kills the man.
Upstairs, Sayid finds it easy to make his way undetected to Hurley's room. Hurley sits overseeing his chess board. A chair is pulled out as if his opponent had been sitting there. Sayid walks right in and informs Hurley he's not there for a visit; he wants Hurley to "come with me, somewhere safe."
Why would Hurley go anywhere with him, as he "has not seen him in like,forever."
Sayid explains circumstances have changed, "Bentham's dead…. Two days ago…They said it was suicide."
Hurley asks why they 'said' it was suicide and why is he calling him Bentham when his name is…
Sayid-"Don't say it….We're being watched."   {Really?! HA! NO SHIT!}
Hurley-"Dude. I've been having regular conversations with dead people. The last thing I need now is paranoia."
Sayid-"I just killed a man who's been perched outside this facility for the last week. I'm finding paranoia keeps me alive."
Hurley-"We're not going back, are we?"
Sayid-"No. Just somewhere safe."
Okay.
But before leaving Hurley moves a chess piece on the board, "Checkmate, Mr. Eko."
Sayid looks down at the empty chair.

HURLEY'S MOVE.

MR. EKO'S SEAT.
Sayid, looking distant for a second, as he sits on the chopper.   He asks Frank where the freighter is. Frank doesn't know; he stayed on course, but they must have it on the move again.
They only have 4-5 minutes worth of fuel left, "Unless somebody else wants to jump." {Jack?!}
Jack tells Kate as soon as they get to the boat they'll go back for him. Hurley yells out he sees the boat behind them. {Hurley's left} Jack is happy.

Bloody Keamy; his monitor is beeping. John is still trying to keep the heart beating.   John wants Ben's help.
Ben tells John it's not his problem that everyone on the boat dies. Keamy tells Ben, where ever he goes, Widmore will find him.
Ben-"Not if I find him first."
Keamy expires; the light turns red.

On the freighter, Jin sees the light turn red.
Michael tells the two to go and get everyone off the boat; they have maybe five minutes left in the tank.
Jin tells Des to go; Jin wants to stay. Michael uses the last of the Nitro.
Desmond runs up to the deck, wants to grab life jackets, ends up trying to stop the chopper from landing, "You can't land! Don't land! Go back! There's a bomb! Get away from the boat!"
And yes, Jack hears the bit about the bomb over the roar or the chopper.

Frank doesn't care what Desmond is screaming, "I'm flying on fumes. I gotta put this bird down."
Desmond-"NO! DON'T LAND!"

Michael is still freezing the battery.
Sun with Aaron, is just staring at the door.
Desmond is still trying to get the chopper passengers to understand.
Jin and Michael are doing everything they can but there's no time!
Aaron's crying.
Frank duct tapes the bullet hole.
Jack needs to know "How long till we fly again?"
Desmond will patch the other hole were the bullet came out. {Frank tosses him a red rag.}
Sayid fuels up the chopper.
Kate stops Sun from going below to get Jin.
Kate will go, "There's no time."
Sun won't leave him.
Kate instructs her to get the baby to the chopper.
Michael taps out the last of the Nitro and Jin checks out his schematic drawing. Michael wants Jin to leave, but Jin feels that he can find

Michael tells Jin, "It's over. I'm almost out of this stuff. You are a father now. Get to your wife and get her home."  {Isn't he going to be a father, or is he one already?}
Jin thanks him and heads upstairs.

Frank starts the chopper and tells Jack, your buddy said we got five minutes; that was three minutes ago.

Jack goes after Kate. Kate tells him Jin is still inside and can't leave him behind. Jack grabs her hand, "I'm not leaving without you. We gotta get outta here now."
On the chopper is Frank, Hurley, Kate, Sun, Aaron, Jack and Desmond.
We see Jin run out of the door just as the chopper is lifting off. Sun is screaming for the chopper to "Go back, turn around!"
Jin is yelling for the chopper.
Frank won't return.
Sun screams "We have to go back!"
Michael is out of Nitro. He hears Whispers.
Christian is standing behind the C-4; he tells him "You can go now, Michael."
Michael- "Who are you?"
BOOM!!!!! The freighter is blown up!
Aaron is crying.
Sun is screaming, "Go back lower! We have to go find Jin!"
The freighter sinks below very quickly.
Jack-"Sun, there's nobody down there."
Sun- "You can't see anything from here."
Sun insists he's down there, "Turn back around!"
Jack- "He's gone."    {Check out the look Sun gives Jack.}
Jack tells Lapidus to fly them back to the island.

Sun dressed in a black and white pinstripe suit; she answers a phone call from her mother. Sun is at London bridge. {Still wears wedding ring.}
She speaks to Ji Yeon. {Mama}
Sun is leaving London tonight after some business. She stands outside a restaurant waiting to speak with Charles Widmore. Sun introduces herself to him as Sun Kwon, Mr. Paik's daughter; she's the managing director of Paik Industries. Apparently Widmore and Paik play golf together, and Paik won the last game they had. She accuses him of pretending to not know who she is.
Sun-"Yes You do know Mr. Widmore. Just like you know we've been lying all this time about where we were, and what happened to us there. You and I have common interests."
She presents her red business card to him, "When you're ready to discuss them, call me. As you know, we're not the only ones who left the Island."
Widmore takes the card and asks, "Miss Kwon, why would you want to help me?"
She turns her back on him and walks away.

Ben is still packing metal into the vault. John asks him why he killed him if he knew it would destroy the boat.
Ben-"Well John, I wasn't really thinking straight. Sometimes…good command decisions get compromised by bad emotional responses. I'm sure you're gonna do a much better of job of separating the two than I ever did."
Ben turns a knob on a control panel and it closes the vault doors. He turns more knobs and the machine starts up. John wants to know what he's doing.
Ben-"If I were you, I'd duck."
BOOM!!!!
The vault blows a huge hole in the back wall.
Ben-"I'd better change."

Juliet is drinking a bottle of Dharma Rum as she sits looking out over the water.  Sawyer emerges from the water.
Juliet wonders, "What are you doing here?"
Sawyer-"I decided to take a dip. Whatcha celebrating?"
She is not celebrating. She draws his attention to black smoke rising from the water. It was their boat.

Ben takes a parker out of a locker; it belongs to Halliwax. He tells John he's going to somewhere cold and John isn't going with him.
John-"Yes, I am going with you."
He insists Jacob told him what to do.
Ben cuts him off, "He told you what to do, but he didn't tell you how. Because he wants me to suffer the consequences….Whoever moves the island can never come back. So I'd like you to get on the elevator, John, go back up. Richard and my people will be waiting two miles east of the Orchid… Ready willing and able, to share what they know, and then they will follow your every word. Goodbye, John"
Ben apologizes for making his life so miserable.
John-"What do I tell em to do?"
Ben-"You'll find your way, John. You always do."
They shake hands.

John approaches Richard and the rest. They are in a ditch with tents; set up for camp. They have guns and papayas. John stands above them.
The Others stop and look at John.
Richard says, "Hello John. Welcome home."
John smiles.

Ben clears out the metal from the vault and he climbs through the hole. {Sounds.} The down a wooden ladder then he breaks a layer of ice. He climbs down a frozen ladder and it breaks causing him to fall and hurt his right arm.
He lights a lantern with a match. We see Hieroglyphs. Ben's arm is bleeding. This "room" is frozen.
Ben takes hold of the wheel that is part of a much larger mechanism, looks up and says, "I hope you're happy now, Jacob."
He tries to move the wheel, but it's FROZEN. {Stuck}
Using a crowbar he breaks away some ice.
Ben pushes the wheel, working very hard! It starts to turn.

Richard, John, Others, Juliet, Sawyer and Dan with Lostie's on raft hear Hum sounds. The passengers on the chopper also seem to hear it.

Ben is still pushing the wheel.
Bright daylight is coming through where the wheel turns the sky turns bright.
Aaron cries.
Then…Island gone!
Where's the Island?
It's gone.
Jack tells Frank there's another Island close by; he could land there.
Frank-"I got news for ya Doc. There's nothing but water in every direction."
It doesn't matter, they're out of fuel. He tells them to put their life vests on; they're going in. They toss the life raft out.
The chopper crashes into the water, hard!
{P.O.V. from underwater!} Jack is underwater. We hear muffled voices, asking "Where's Jack?"
Jack swims to the surface. Kate gives Hurley the baby.
Desmond is face down in the water. "Is he breathing?"   They get him to the raft.
Jack performs CPR, saving Desmond.
Jack whispers "It's Okay. It's okay. We're alive."
They are adrift.

Kate is sleeping in her comfy bed. Creaking sounds wakes up Kate; she turns on the light.  The phone rings.   Kate answers; there's clicking. She asks who's there. She hears whispering.  A door opens and creaks.
Kate jumps up to get a gun. {Making a lot of noise doing so.}
The door is ajar to Aaron's room. Claire is sitting over him, holding his arm. {White Rabbit on door.}
Armed Kate says, "Don't you touch my son!"
Kate whispers, "Claire. How did you…"
Claire warns her,"Don't bring him back Kate. Don't you dare bring him back."
Kate bolts awake! It was a dream. She runs onto Aaron's room, cries, "I'm sorry." {1 on blanket.}

Night on the raft:
Aaron's asleep in Kate's arms; the baby is fine. It's a miracle.
Hurley can't believe Locke moved the island.
Jack-" No. he didn't."
Hurley-"Oh really, cause 1 minute it was there and the next it was gone, so, unless we like overlooked it, dude. That's exactly what he did….But, if you've got another explanation, man, I'd love to hear it."
Frank spots a big boat. Jack announces that they're gonna have to lie about everything, all of it; every moment since they crashed on the island. Frank's a bit baffled, being new to the group and all, by Jack not being overjoyed about the impending rescue. Jack says that the men on his freighter were sent there to kill them, "You said that our plane was discovered on the bottom of the ocean. Well. Someone put it there. Someone who wanted everyone to think that we're dead. So what do you thinks gonna happen to us when we tell them it wasn't our plane. What do you thinks gonna happen to the people that we left behind?"
Kate says matter of fact, "We can't pull it off." {She knows they can't.}
Jack will do the talking.
They flag the boat down.
A Portuguese man yells something to Ms. Widmore. The boat is called "SEARCHER".
There's Penny! {Coincidence?! HA!}
Desmond is shocked, "Penny?"
Desmond climbs up the ladder to Penny's arms and they kiss. {Scarf around her neck.}
Desmond whispers "I'm fine."
She claims to have found him because of his phone call,"I have a tracking station." {Again, How fucking convenient!}
Desmond-"I love you, Penny. And I'll never leave ya again."
More kissing. The men are help the Rafties up.
Desmond introduces Kate to Penny {Kate and Penny hug!} He introduces Penny to everyone else. {NO HUGGING}
Jack tells Penny they need to talk.

One week later on the SEARCHER, Hurley asks Sayid, "What's this place called?"
Sayid-"Membata."
Hurley asks him why they are doing this, "Sailing 3,000 miles to another Island."
Sayid says it's the only way to keep them safe.

A raft is put into the water. Jack is ready to put his plan/lie into action. Frank tells Jack they'll hit land (if the wind aint too brutal) in 8-9 hours, "Just long enough to give you a nice convincing sunburn."
Jack shakes Franks hand and tells him it's been a pleasure "I hope we never see each other again."
Frank-"Roger that, Doc."
Penny hands Aaron over to Kate.
Desmond asks Jack if he's sure about this. Des feels as long as he's got Penny, he'll be fine.
Jack warns him, "Don't let him find you , Desmond…then I'll see you in another life, Brother."
Desmond- "Aye. I guess you will." {I'm sure of it!} They shake on it.

Jack says to the Rafties- "Let's go home."
The raft arrives at a fishing village. The villagers help them to the beach. Kate with Aaron, looks back to the open water.
Then Jack walks; leading them.

Bearded Jack {Band aide over right eye} drives, listening to the Pixies. He breaks into the funeral home and then breaks into the back room where the coffin is held.
There is another dead body in the room under clear plastic sheet.
The clipboard shows Body Release Form for Jeremy Bentham.
Jack opens the coffin to see inside.
Ben says Hello from behind him; startling Jack. Ben didn't mean to scare him.
Ben, dressed in black asks, "Did he tell you I was off the Island?"
Yes.
Ben asks when he spoke to him and Kate.
Jack tells him, about a month ago. He goes on to say that Bentham said after Jack left the island "Some very bad things happened. And he told me that it was my fault, for leaving. And he said that I had to come back."
Ben mentions hearing that Jack was flying on passenger planes hoping that he'd crash, "It's dark, Jack. Very dark."
Ben is there to tell Jack that the "Island won't let you come alone. All of you have to go back."
Jack informs Ben he doesn't know where Sayid is and Hurley is insane; Sun blames me for...And then Kate won't even talk to him anymore.
Perhaps Ben can help him with that, "This is the way it has to be, Jack. It's the only way. You have to do it together. All of you."
Jack-"How?"
Ben-"I have a few ideas."
Jack is teary eyed.
Ben-"Jack. I said all of you. We're gonna have to bring him too."
Locke/Bentham is in the coffin.

Things to note…Questions to ask...{Including bunch of things that are making me jump up and down with excitement as they are ties to major things I've hinted at.}
* Obviously the vault is not the mode of transportation to and from the "Island".   So, what is?…Submarine?
* Change.
* Remember…Ben is never entirely truthful.
* How often is the island "Moved"? Is it really "moved"?   Did Ben just hit the rewind button?
* Only Jack was meant to see "John's" body.
* John didn't move the island. At this point, John didn't "do anything"
* "The island needs you. You have to go back before it's too late." whispers on the phone to Kate.
* Ben breaks a whole in the wall of the pod that is implied by Halliwax to be used in the whole Casimir crap dished out by Dharma.
* Regular conversations with "dead" people. "Dead" people who play chess!
* The Vault was really hiding the stuck wheel.
* Chess moves. Game piece moves. Three minutes.
* Mr. Eko... Where is he?
* Aaron. Christian. 1.
* Ben yells to Jacob as if he's physically above him. Just as Jin does when he has his "Missing Pieces" temper tantrum on the golf course.
* Santa Rosa is an institute. So, they are doing research on patients.
* Desmond helped himself to get to Penny. Mission accomplished!
* Ben mentions Jack taking passenger/commercial airlines But you can't get to the island via commercial planes.
* Again I come back to, Under, Underground, Underwater. Moon pool.
* TRACKING STATION.
* Jin-I don't think is dead.
* Where is Sayid's "Somewhere safe"?   Is it cold there too?
* Why would Kate shun "John's" funeral?   What did he do to her?
* Is the black smoke a means to transport the others around the "Island".  Hiding them?
* How would Ben pushing the wheel, get him "off the Island"?  By the way, did he speak the truth to John when he said whoever moves the "Island" can never come back? Hmmmm.
* Why would Locke be off the "Island" when he knew he never wanted to leave?
* Frank Duckett?
* How come John's the one to watch the orientation video's and never questions why the host of the video's look the same but goes by different names? I'm just asking!
* What's with Kate and Penny?
* Is John "DEAD" in the coffin or Cryo (frozen)? Is it really John?
* If the plane crash was an illusion on the "Island", or things can be faked or manipulated, couldn't the blowing up of the freighter also be?
* If the "Island" moves physically in time and space, how come Desmond is led to believe he traveled consciously not physically?  {Mind}
* If the "Island" moves in "time" then the Island would still be there, but exist in another time.
* Did the "Island" disappear for a second and then submerge underwater?
* Who is the "Him"  Claire's talking about to Kate in her dream?
* I want to mention that in the episode Man of Science, Man of Faith (I believe it is) Desmond says something like..."Be persistent. Sometimes the wheel sticks."  I found that totally cool and amazing!!!

There's NO PLACE Like Home was an amazing season finale!
Jeremy/John visits Jack a month before.  Yet, the paper Jack reads in TTLG has the "suicide victim" as a resident of N.Y with a teenage son.  How long had this John/Jeremy been there?  If John/Jeremy had NO family or friends at all and died in N.Y., why have a wake for him in L.A.. Who put it together? Hmmm?
I think Ben used the tool of the 'dead John' as a means to coax Jack into finally getting him to realize he HAS to go back to that "Island".   Jack's not surprised or angry to see Ben.  Things with that whole funeral home scene didn't jive with me.  Can Ben still go back and forth?  He must be able to. Or maybe Ben can't get back to the "Island" without those people.   Ben, is ALWAYS in control, even here in this "off Island environment".   If John in the casket is really dead, why have Jack transport another casket back to that "Island"?!!  Hmm!?
Being "born" on and of the "Island".  What makes them special/important/different?
Remember, I still feel like they're never out of the CONTAINER/CONFINES that surround the "Islands".  I'm still holding on to the possibility of this having ties to Santa Rosa.  Can the "Island" be one big giant Greenhouse-hatchery=cultivating life- breeding, creating, molding, transforming? Literally or metaphorically?
I really feel that the references to "rabbit"  relates directly to Jack.  Jack and his trip down into the rabbit hole and other side of the looking glass.

But when all is said and done here…I still feel as I did when talking about Part 1 of this finale. That, just as Dorothy, thought she was somewhere far away, traveled back home, but in reality never really went anywhere.  She experienced her adventure while in a sleep state/unconscious/altered state of consciousness.  Eventually she wakes up.   Her family was always around her, watching over her. Same for the islanders.
There's "NO PLACE" like...HOME.

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME. pt2.

Let's talk about LOST! There's No Place Like Home. P2.
Bearded Jack watches Kate back up the car.   Kate yells at him about being stoned on his pills, calling her for two days and showing her an obit for Jeremy Bentham. {plate- 4 QKD 695}
Kate tells Jack that Jeremy came to her and she heard what he had to say; she determined he was crazy. Jack on the other hand believes Jeremy. "Him of all people."
Jack believes him because he says that's the only way he can keep Kate and Aaron safe.
Kate slaps Jack for saying Aaron's name. She's upset that she has to explain to Aaron why Jack can't read to him. She spent the last three years trying to forget the horrible things that happened on the day they left, "How dare you ask me to go back."
Kate drives off, leaving Jack alone.

Jack treks through the jungle with Sawyer. He's still suppurating and a bit wobbly.
Jack tells Sawyer that Lapidus said "they" were headed North East.  Sawyer wants Jack to slow down because he looks like he's about to keel over. But of course, Jack is always fine.

They arrive at the Orchid; but what's the plan?  The guys hear a noise and out of nowhere see it's Hugo's taking a leak. Hurley is excited Sawyer came back but wanted to know how he knew where he was.  Jack tells Hurley it's good to see him.
Sawyer asks Hurley "So where the hell is he?"

The three enter the greenhouse area to find John looking around. Locke's happy to see Jack.
On the moving freighter, Desmond, Jin and Michael investigate the C-4 issue that's large enough to blow up an aircraft carrier.
C-4 is wired to a battery.
Desmond reveals that he did six months Explosive Ordinance Disposal, when he was in the Army. {EOD- Bomb Squad. Just enough time to learn how to blow yourself up} This bomb is on a timer that hasn't gone off yet.
Desmond explains "This is a radio receiver. It's like a walki talki, sends it a signal and it triggers a bomb remotely
Jin asks if they can turn it off.
Desmond looks at the bomb details more closely: tripwire, dummy wiring, multiple firing systems, battery's the power source, Mess with any of it…BOOM! {Come on! Game over!}

John, with a Dharma handbook, explains to Jack "There's a Dharma station below us, and I'm looking for a way to get in."
Jack-"Get in and do what?"
John wants to speak to Jack alone but Jack doesn't want to be bothered, "We just came back for Hurley."
Locke-"Jack, you need to hear what I have to say..."
Jack forcefully tells John that he needs to walk back to the chopper, get on and get the rest of our people off this island."
Hurley-"Dude. Probably not the best idea right now. Those Rambo guys are taking Ben to that helicopter. He surrendered himself to them about an hour ago."
Jack asks John, why the hell he would do that?

Cuffed Ben walks with Keamy and the other G.I. Joe's.  Keamy wants to know what makes Ben so important.  Widmore paid Keamy a lot of money to capture Ben and bring him back alive
Ben wonders, "Charles Widmore tell you to kill my daughter."
Keamy sees that Frank has the red tool box and is trying to free himself.  Keamy wants to know who gave him the toolbox.   Just then they hear rustling.  It's Kate; who identifies herself as one of the passengers of flight 815, claiming she's being chased by Ben's people. {Points at Ben, she's helping him.}
Keamy yells out to Kocol, Lacour, "Redfern on Frank."
Frank looks around like WTF is going on?! LOL!
Then there are whispers.
Ben listens, the Others show themselves and the bad men! {They have guns and shock darts.}
Keamy orders- "Now! Spray it!" {Spray what? Bug?}
Frank takes cover in the chopper. Kate instructs Ben when to run. Grenade!
Keamy runs after them!
Sayid ambushes Keamy with a tackle and they have one hell of a fight. Sayid stabs Keamy and then beats him with an Eko-like looking stick!
Four shots are fired into Keamy's back. It was Richard who fired the shots.
Kate helps Sayid up. {What is with the look they share? Go back and watch!}
Keamy looks dead; eyes open. {Like Naomi.}
Ben is pleased that Richard finally showed up. Kate cuts Ben free. Richard informs Ben the arrangement for Kate helping to free him was they let them off the island.  Ben feels that's fair enough.  Ben tells Kate, "The helicopter is yours. You and Sayid have a safe journey back."
Permission granted.

Hurley is in Santa Rosa; opens a fruit snack. {Molly Fishers.} Walt's grandma brought her grandson across country to see him.   She makes sure Hurley isn't dangerous/crazy first.
Walt sits opposite Hurley. Walt's getting big.  Grandma watches. {A black wheelchair rolls by.}
Walt tells Hurley, when he came back, he was waiting for one of them to go see him but nobody did. Jeremy Bentham went to see him. Walt doesn't understand why they are lying.
Hurley explains they're lying because it's the only way to protect everyone who didn't come back, safe. Including Walt's dad. {Hurley just opened his mouth and just told someone part of the secret!}

Sawyer watches Jack and Locke through the binoculars. Hurley thinks they are talking about "leader stuff."
Hurley shares the 15 year old crackers that came out of the ground with Sawyer. Hurley thanks Sawyer for coming back for him. Hurley asks if Claire and the baby are okay.
John wants Jack to reconsider leaving the island; he would like him to stay. Jack recounts John dealing with Naomi; getting most of their people killed.
John-"Well Jack, you put a gun to my head and pulled the trigger."
John was hoping to let bygones be bygones. Jack tells him to stay in his little greenhouse, the rest of them are going home even though John tells him he's not supposed to go home.
Jack thinks he remembers what he's supposed to do "What is it that you said on the way out to the hatch? That crashing here was our destiny."
John insists Jack knows he's there for a reason, "…And if you leave this place, that knowledge is gonna eat you alive from the inside out. Until you decide to come back."
Jack says goodbye.
John tells Jack, he's gonna have to lie about everything. It's the only way to protect it.
Jack-"It's an island, John. No one needs to protect it."
John-"It's not an 'Island'. It's a place where miracles happen.  And, and, if you, if you don't believe that, Jack, if you can't believe that, just wait till you see what I'm about to do
Jack-"There's no such thing as miracles."
John-"We'll just have to see which one of us is right."
Ben appears. He's going to head inside the Orchid with John. John couldn't find the Anthuriums because he doesn't know what they look like. Ben shows him and reveals the entrance to the elevator. Ben encourages Jack to go to the helicopter and leave, and informs him that the rest of his people are leaving to the freighter. He'd love to fill Jack in on everything he missed, but you, Hugo, James, need to get moving.

Ben-"If I were you, I'd wanna be on that boat within the hour." {WHY? Does he know he's going to let it be blown up?!!} Goodbye.
John-"Lie to them Jack. If you do it half as well as you lie to yourself, they'll believe you."
Jack watches John and Ben head below.

CRYO-CYL nitrogen {UN 1977} wheeled/delivered by Michael.
Sun w/Aaron, asks what going on down there.
Michael-"Did you tell anybody?"
She asks if he can turn it off. He tells her it isn't even on yet, "But yeah. If what's in this tank does what it's supposed to do, we're gonna be okay."
He'll send Jin upstairs because there's no need for him to be downstairs with him.
Sun shares with Michael she's pregnant. {Why did she feel the need to tell him? Hmmm?}
Michael tells Des and Jin he's going to freeze the battery. Liquid nitrogen, they use it in the refrigeration hold. He explains the bomb needs a charge from the battery to detonate, the battery runs on a chemical reaction. {Why not just disconnect the wires then?} He sprays the battery to keep it cold, NO reaction. The catch is they only have one canister; use it up, they're right back where they started.
They can't save it until the light turns red. They need to chill the battery now or else it's the last thing they will ever see. Either way at least they'll have a warning and buy themselves some time. Desmond notes the freezing the battery and asks Jin to help him trace back the wires make a list to where each of them goes to. {Good thing Jin has full command of the English language!}

Daniel comes back to the beach and confirms to Juliet he got them on the boat. Tells her they're gonna get as close to the island without hitting the reef, "So the next trip shouldn't take so long."
He's going to get water. She'll get the next group ready to go. Juliet thanks Dan for his help.
Miles, in the beach kitchen/table eats Dharma peanuts. Rose asks him who said he can eat them. Miles asks her permission. Rose will keep her eye on Shorty.
Dan gets Miles' attention.
Miles-"Something wrong with your neck?"
Dan tells him and Charlotte he's leaving in 10 minutes and they need to make sure they are with him on that raft. Miles reveals he's gonna stay. Dan is concerned Miles doesn't understand his direness of the circumstance. Miles knows Dan's dire, but still will stay.
Dan tells Charlotte "10 minutes."
Miles is surprised Charlotte wants to leave, after all the time she spent trying to get back here.
Charlotte-"What do you mean, get back here?"
Miles-"What DO I mean?" {He knows.}

Ben and John descending in the elevator to the station. It goes down very deep.
Once there, Ben gets things going.
John has questions. They are in what Dharma calls the Orchid, complete with bunny cage and a VAULT!
John wonders if this is the magic box.
He's told it is not.
Ben tells him all the Dharma stations were used for "Silly experiments.
Ben takes care of some business, starts to put metal items in the vault, including the bunny cage.
John watches the orientation video {6 of 6} hosted by Edgar Halliwax and bunny 15.
Edgar mentions the Orchid is not used as a botanical research unit. The unique properties of this island have created a kind of casimir effect, allowing Dharma to conduct unique experiments in both space and time. "This is the vault. Constructed adjacent to a pocket of what we believe to be negatively charged exotic matter. Great care must be taken to avoid leaving inorganic materials inside the chamber. The electromagnetic energy within the island is highly volatile and unpredictable. Now, for your own safety and the safety of those around you, metallic objects must never be placed within the vault. In our first demonstration we'll attempt to shift the test subject 100 milliseconds ahead in 4 dimensional space. For the briefest of the moment the animal will seem to disappear, but in reality…." {In reality what? Nothing? Fucking magic trick!}
All of a sudden the tape starts rewinding on its own. John tries to get it to play, but then gets a snowy screen.
John asks Ben, "Is he talking about what I think he was talking about?"
Ben-"If you mean time traveling bunnies, then yes."
John remarks that Edgar said not to put anything metal in the vault. Ben is aware. The men hear the elevator and concerned Ben asks John for his weapon back.

Hurley and Sawyer find Kate and Sayid with Lapidus at the chopper. Kate's trying to un-cuff Frank, but can't.
Sawyer sees dead bodies and asks Kate in flirty fashion if this one "Did something to tick you off, Freckles?"
She replies in flirty flattered fashion, "I didn't kill that one."
He asks which one did she kill.
Kate touches Jack; he asks where the baby is. Aaron is with Sun, they should be at the freighter by now. Sawyer seems jealous.
Kate asks Jack if he's okay.
Jack-"I am now."
Sawyer asks Kenny Rogers if he's trying to pick a lock. Sawyer cuts the cuffs off Frank with a hacksaw. Jack asks Sayid how he got back  Sayid tells him he took the zodiac from the freighter. Jack asks if it's safe and tells Sayid about the body that washed up on the beach. Sayid feels it's safe now. With Frank released, he's excited to fly them out of there! Sawyer's happy, as he's seen enough of this rock.
Sayid sits co-pilot.
Hurley asks Jack, after they drop everyone off at the boat, they can come back and look for Claire.
Jack says yes.
Frank instructs the passengers to keep their hands and feet inside the vehicle {Like they're on a ride at Disney World! Weeeeeeeeee!} "Let's go for a ride!"
They seem relieved to lift off. {Shot of joystick.}

Inside the Orchid, the elevator arrives and un-dead Keamy steps out looking for Ben. He has another knife. {You can hear the orientation video playing.} He knows Ben is down there, crouching in the dark just waiting to take a shot at him. Keamy tells him to be sure to aim for the head. He calls Richard, Ben's boyfriend who shot him in the back, like a coward, "This body armor is um, has been known to take a bullet or two in its time."
But before Ben takes his shot, Keamy shows him the rigged bomb remote. Keamy took out a bit of a life insurance policy. He explains it's a heart rate monitor is connected to a radio transmitter, they call it a dead man's trigger. When his heart stops beating it sends a signal to the 500lbs of C4 that he has hardwired on the freighter. It will kill innocent people.
Bluffing?
Need he remind Ben of his daughter looked as she bled out, face down in the grass. {Not face up}
John Locke appears to Keamy and tells him he has no conflict with him, neither do the people on the boat. {Keamy doesn't know him}
John asks him to put the knife down and talk about it. Keamy's never really been one for talk. Ben busts out of a locker, beats then stabs Keamy for killing his daughter.
John-"Ben, what did you do?"
John sees the monitor/beeping and tries to keep Keamy's heart beating.
John-"You just killed everybody on that boat."
Ben-"So?"

Charlotte tells Dan she's going to stay, for now.
Dan tells her there is "No, 'for now'. If you come with me, could be forever."
Charlotte-"Nothing's forever."
She asks him if it would make any sense if she said she was still looking for where she was born.
Nope, it wouldn't.
She kisses him on the cheek and says goodbye.
Happy Juliet confirms with "guessing Dan" that she too will stay. She promised she "wouldn't leave until I got everyone safely off this island. "Relax. I'll still be here when you get back."
Dan-"Right. Right. When I get back."
Dan gets the next group started. "Off we go."
We see the freighter.

Michael is freezing the battery.  Desmond thinks he may found a way to cut a wire, but Jin sees the connection would not disconnect the firing mechanism.
Desmond is upset "I just don't know enough! How do we even know if your freezer trick's doing anything?"
Michael- "We'll know if that light turns red and we're still here."
There's only a quarter tank left. If they can't deactivate the bomb, they better get everybody off this boat.

While flying in the chopper, Frank sees they're losing fuel because there's bullet hole in the tank. The have to set her down. Jack tells him there's no fuel on the island and demands Frank head to the boat or the chopper's useless. But they can't see the boat!
Jack-"Then keep looking."
Frank instructs them to get rid of any extra weight that isn't bolted down. They toss shit out but it's still not enough.
Frank-"I would feel a hell of a lot better if we were a few hundred lbs lighter." {Hurley's face} If they don't make it, they're still close enough to ditch it on the beach. Again Jack demands he doesn't go back to the island. Frank doesn't have a choice.
Sawyer leans over, whispers something into Kate's ear, kisses her, tells her to "Just do it" and jumps out of the chopper.
Jack sees Sawyer and Kate's whole transaction.
Sawyer resurfaces and swims back!

Things to note…Questions to ask...
{Including bunch of things that are making me jump up and down with excitement as they are ties to major things I've hinted at.}
* Three. Boone-Libby-Charlie. Could these three represent the three cribs I saw in the nursery when baby John was in the incubator? Or just coincidence?
* It's not an "Island"
* Joystick. Trigger. Wire. Power source. Monitor. Timer.
* Freeze the POWER SOURCE. {Battery. Wheel.}
* Underground. Underwater.
* The Orchid tape starts on its own; never giving us the reality of anything! Damn glitches!!
* Keamy uses a heart rate monitor as a device to signal a bomb remotely. Ben used a heart rate monitor as a device to make Sawyer believe it would kill him. Both would execute an action based on the heart.
* Ben-"If you mean time traveling bunnies, then yes."    Is Ben just confirming the "words" John heard on the tape, or if the tape reveals fact of time travel? {I think he's only confirming the "words".}
* Charlotte apparently has left the "Island" too, and has returned to the it!  See, it can be done!
* John tells Jack to lie.  Jack makes up the lie.
* Again, there are no time issues with going back and forth to freighter.
* Different Orchid orientation video than we've seen.
* Desmond knows about bombs. That's convenient.
* John has a Dharma handbook (Where did he get it?) and he still couldn't find his way around.
* Keamy looks dead..But is NOT.
* Some of the paper letter cutouts on the walls at Santa Rosa are backwards.
* Natives. Others. Hostiles. Alien. Hybrid.
* Created. Special.
* Blood. Bomb. Grenade. Boom. War game.
* Bird Birds-Perch-Duck-Duct tape. Animals.
* Bug.(electronic) Bugs.(Insect/alien)
* Shape, shift, transform, morph, fly.
* Fertility. Parentage. Pregnancy. Men. Fathers.
* The chopper and freighter were close to the beach.
* Jack wasn't on Jacob's list.
* I've mentioned it in the past I feel the Orchid logo looks like a whale tail descending deep into to the water. We know it to be the 'flower petal-time cone' motif. It is a spiral. Maybe it's just a damn funnel to funnel them somewhere.  Or metaphor for spiraling down.
* What were the stations for, really? On the surface the stations seem to be portrayed as one thing, but was that was a smoke screen for deeper purposes.
* Is there really "time travel"? {lol}
* Should Hurley have not gone on the chopper?
* What did Sawyer tell Kate before jumping?
* Is there a long royal lineage to everything?
* Four.  4 toed statue. 4 horsemen? 4 leaf clover?
* Widmore wants Ben alive.  Is the capture of Ben more like Big game hunting? Bag the big bird!
* Shoot Keamy in the head? What is he?  Keamy's body armor.  Is he talking about the military issued vest, or a layer of human material over robot skeleton? Or shit like the Terminator.
* "Be careful not to leave inorganic materials inside the chamber."   Do jackets and baton's count?
* Do we need to revisit Karen DeGroot at this time?

Up to this point…John told Jack it's his destiny to be on the "Island"!   Jack is ALWAYS in denial about everything that happens, i.e. the bad people on the boat, the others, getting off the "Island", making "that" call, Naomi helping, etc.. He's WRONG, yet he's always taking charge.
John screws things up. He couldn't even follow directions Ben gave to enter the Orchid, even with a damn handbook!

The Oceanic 6 have Ben's permission to get off the "Island".    Couldn't it all be part of Ben's plan to have them leave, only to make it seem like their idea to want to return to the "Island"?!

Love to all who are "LOST"™

Original MySpace post June 3, 2008.

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! Things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either. I hate spoilers! I stand clear of reading certain sites, as to not take me off my own research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Good! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues in bold.

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME. pt1.

Let's talk about LOST! There's No Place Like Home. pt1.

A view of blue sky and white puffy clouds. {Note the Set Alt- is all zeros!}
The Pilot and Co-Pilot mention they have a little "Chop" ahead.

The Pilot tells the Co-Pilot to put the rabbit's foot away.
Co pilot {Rubbing rabbit's foot w/ left hand} replies that they need this "Thing".
He's is very nervous about the cargo they have back there, "Bad Mojo."

Karen Decker is asked to head back there and let them know we're landing.  Karen heads back and says hello to an unseen passenger. She tells the group they're coming in for a landing.

JACK IS SLEEPING.

Karen tells them it's a military facility just west of Honolulu; it's completely private, "Your families are already here."
Jack wakes up. The six don't look very happy. Karen goes on to say there's a lot of Press who want to speak to them, but as far as Oceanic is concerned they don't have to speak to any reporters.
Jack tells Karen "We'll talk to them."
She asks if that's alright with all of them.
Jack answers for all six and says it's fine, "We all agreed. We just want to get it over with."

Karen reveals, "They're referring to you as the Oceanic 6. That's not the best branding as far as we're concerned, but it's catchy. We'll see you on the ground."
Jack talks to the group, "We all know the story, if we get any questions that we don't want to answer or that we can't answer, let's just keep our mouths shut."
Jack tells them it's okay; they'll think they're in shock.
Sun admits they are in shock.  Jack feels then it should be easy.

The plane lands on the Island. {Barbers Point} The six seem apprehensive and unsure.
The Hatch/ramp opens on the plane and people gather to see them.
Hurley exits first. The six meet their families for a reunion. {Five Parents.}
Kate has no one.
Sayid has no one, but Hurley includes him in his family reunion.
Sun, looking distant and stand-offish, meets her emotional parents but only hugs her mother.
Jack hugs his crying mom. {She's wearing green, wedding ring.}

Night on the beach:
Rose-"It was Sayid and Desmond in the helicopter, right? I mean It had to be. Why else would they drop that thingamabob right over us?"
Sun asks why they wouldn't just land. Jack doesn't know, but tells them this thing is tracking the chopper, so if they were on it, they want us to know where they're going.
Sun-"It's a phone. Can't we just call?"
Jack asks Charlotte and Daniel if they could, Dan nods yes.
Jack hands him the phone and warns, "Don't try anything stupid."
Dan understands. He presses a bunch of things on the sat phone and discovers it's being used only as a monitor.
We can hear dialog between Keamy and Frank; they're five clicks from the site. Keamy wants Frank to "Put her down!"
Keamy also announces that as soon as they hit the ground, they deploy to the Orchid, "Heads down." {Watch Juliet and Kate.}
Juliet claims she doesn't know what the Orchid is. They also note they didn't hear Desmond or Sayid either.
Jack takes the sat phone from Dan and asks Kate if she wants to "Take a walk." {Of course she does!} He'll get the guns, she'll get some water.
Juliet freaks out, as Jack just had surgery and she needs him to rest; she's worried about his sutures. Jack feels he can't just sit around.
Juliet-"Recovery is not just sitting around."
Jack has to do this because he "promised those people he'd get them off this island."
Juliet angrily walks away telling him not to bleed to death.
Jack-"I'll see you in a couple of hours."
Daniel is very worked up. He gets out his notebook and looks up his notes about the Orchid.
Dan whispers to Charlotte that they're going to the Orchid, they're using the secondary protocol, "We HAVE to get off this Island, right now."

Daylight:
Jack has the sat phone monitor/tracker, tells Kate they're catching up; the chopper must have landed. Kate suggests they take a break.
Jack is bleeding; only he calls it suppurating, discharge. His body is fighting off infection around the stitches. They drink some water.
Kate-"You know when most people are lying and they can't look you in the eye, you do the exact opposite."
A branch snaps and they draw their guns.
Miles nonchalantly walks out of the jungle, "Hey, long time, no see."
Sawyer's behind him carrying Aaron. Sawyer wants to know who he's "talking to up there, Genghis?"
Sawyer's surprised/happy to see Kate. He tells them they lost Claire; she just walked off in the middle of the night, "We looked for her for a day, but she was just gone."
Jack's troubled. Claire didn't walk back to the beach.
Sawyer asks what they're doing out there, "What's that phone for?"
Jack explains it to him.
Sawyer explains to Jack he better hope it aint Sayid, "Because if he's with those animals who blew up half of New Otherton you do not want to tussle with them...They" tried to kill them. Just like Locke said "they" would.
Jack mockingly asks if they're supposed to just turn around and hide because it seems that didn't to work out to well for him. Aaron's crying.
Sawyer says, "I'm sorry Doc, maybe this is Deja vu. But didn't you just do the whole run through the jungle with a walki plan?"
Jack claims the helicopter is the only way off the island.
Sawyer wonders, "What's with you and getting off the Island? You're like a damn broken record."

Kate questions these two fighting each other now.  Jack says he put Sayid and Desmond on that chopper, it was his call, his responsibility and he's going after it whether they're on it or not. Kate doesn't want him to go by himself. Sawyer tells Kate to take care of the baby {Jack and Miles share a look here} and all should head back to the beach.

Sawyer w/gun-"That son of a bitch is stubborn. Hold up! You don't get to die alone."
Sawyer goes with Jack.
Kate holds Aaron. The Oceanic six sit at the dais table.

Karen gives the fabricated specifics about the Oceanic 6. "Based on the wreckage, our best estimate of the crash site is here. {Map of Indonesia. Note 3 Oceanic logos.} From there, the survivors were carried by the ocean's current to here. An uninhabited island in the lesser Sunda islands known as Membata. As you've all read in your briefing books, on day 103 a typhoon washed up the remnants of an Indonesian fishing boat, including basic supplies and a survival raft. {WOW! How else would they have survived?!} On day 108 the remaining six survivors, including Miss Austen's baby, which she gave birth to on the island of Membata, used this raft to journey here, an island called Sumba. They then came ashore near a village called Manukangga. This photo was taken by the local fisherman who found them. {I'm glad he had a camera!lol!} Once it was discovered who they were, they were transported to Honolulu by the U.S. Coast Guard. {us?} As you can imagine this has been an extraordinarily trying experience. They have however agreed to answer a few questions."
Karen introduces the survivors of Oceanic 815. The reporters snap pictures and begin their questioning. The first reporter {Press Pass written in Orange} asks Dr. Shephard what it was like when the plane hit the ocean and how he survived. Jack tells him it happened really fast. He remembers the impact and remembers the plane filling up with water. A few of them got out through the emergency door before it went down. They didn't swim to the island, they had cushions, some life jackets, they were in the water for over a day before the current took them in. "By then there was only 8 of us left." {Watch Sun.}

Another reporter comments that they look pretty healthy considering they were on an island for more than 100 days. Hurley thinks the comment was directed at him. The reporter mentions that he was worth more than 150 million dollars at the time of his "death", "How does it feel to know you're gonna get all that money back?"   {This is an example hint for "dead" yet not really "dead"}
Hurley doesn't want it back; that money was bad luck.
A Korean reporter asks Sun a question in Korean. Someone yells out for a translation.
Sun translates-"She asked if my husband was one of the people who died on the island." Apprehensively Sun replies "The answer is no. He never made it off the plane."
The reporter w/the orange Press Pass asks Miss Austen what it was like giving birth on the island.
Kate-"Scary."
He asks how old her son Aaron is.
Kate-"He's just a little over five weeks." {WTF?!}
The reporter states "That would have made you six months pregnant when the U.S. Marshall Service apprehended you in Australia for an outstanding murder warrant. Is that correct?"
Karen interjects telling him Kate's legal issue is off the table. The female reporter asks Sayid, considering the circumstances of their survival, could there be any others yet to be discovered.
Sayid-"No. Absolutely not."
With the briefing over, Jack tells Kate she did good. Karen informs Sayid that there's a woman outside who says she knows him wasn't on the list of family members. Her name is Noor Abed Jaseem.
Sayid heads out the rose colored hanger doors to find a waiting Nadia outside with a patrol car and officer. They kiss and cry.

Sayid is on the zodiac raft making his way back to the beach. {Sea Turtle on the beach. EKO'S CHURCH.} Sayid tells the beach camp Desmond is on the freighter and that he's going to start taking people back to the freighter six at a time. They have to go right now before the helicopter gets back to the boat. Juliet asks why.
Sayid-"Because the men on that chopper have every intention of killing us all."
Juliet's upset because Jack and Kate just went running after it.
Hurley, John and Ben on their trek. Hurley wonders when someone is going to tell him where they're going. Ben tells him they're going to a place called the Orchid it's a greenhouse.
He heard John, "we're going there, to move the Island."
Ben will accomplish this task "Very carefully."
Hurley-"If you could move the island whenever you wanted, why didn't you just move it before the psychos with guns got here?"
Apparently doing it is both dangerous and unpredictable. "It's a measure of last resort."
Ben retrieves a foot locker from an army duffel hidden under broken rock. Ben allows John to open it. There are Dharma soda crackers, a mirror, rope and binoculars. Hurley eats one of the 15 year old crackers. Ben uses the mirror to communicate a code/message to someone in the hills. John looks through the binoculars. Ben gets a reply from his communications.
Ben-"Alright. Now we can go."
John wants to know what did he tell them.
Ben-"None of your business, John."

Daniel tells Sayid if he wants to run into the jungle after that chopper he should, but in the meantime they need to get people off of this Island. Dan can start ferrying people back and forth. By the time Sayid gets back Dan can have "Most of these people on our boat."
Sayid gives Dan a compass and says, "I trust you know the bearing."
Juliet is sure to have Sun go out on the first trip.

Kate, Aaron and quiet Miles walk out of the jungle right into the "ferrying scene".  Sayid is aware that Jack thought he was on the chopper.  Kate gives Sun baby Aaron to take along with her and Kate and Sayid will head after Jack. Dan starts ferrying.

On the raft, Jin is proud to tell Sun "I told you I'd get you off the Island."

Pregnant Sun at Paik headquarters. {Dressed in her signature Blk/white, wedding ring.} She heads up stairs to talk to her father.
Mr. Paik is in a heated discussion with two men about 'How could this happen' and whoever did this used five different banks.
Sun interrupts his business; father just lets her know there's "Some complications with the company. Nothing you'd understand."
He asks how the pregnancy is. She confronts him about him ruining her husband's life.
Paik's pissed; he wants her respect. Sun informs him she received a very large settlement from Oceanic so this morning she bought controlling interest in his company,"So you will now respect me."
He wants to know why.
Sun explains, it's because of him that she and Jin were on that plane. Two people are responsible for his death and Paik is one of them. Sun will have her baby and then they'll talk about plans for the future of "Our company."

Hurley pulls up to his fancy house in an old dilapidated Pinto. He picked up some chicken from Mr. Clucks. The front door ajar.
Inside he calls out for Mom, Dad, Mr. Tron and Lady Tron. {Grandfather clock.} No one's around. He picks up a coconut from the floor. {Hears whispers.} Cautious and nervous Hurley picks up golden Jesus to check things out. He wonders, "Why am I doing this?"
Hurley opens the double door to the outside and, "Surprise!"

Friends and family are there to throw him a surprise birthday party; "Island" theme of course. Hugo thought there might have been a prowler and that's why he had golden Jesus.
Mrs. Reyes tells him, "Hugo. Jesus Christ is not a weapon."
{Kid with 42 on his shirt}

Kate, Aaron, Sayid w/wedding ring and Nadia are guests at this party.   Jack is running late. {Jack is running late!}

Mr. Reyes asks if Hugo and friends are talking about building a fire or boar hunting.
Dad had a present for Hugo and Hugo makes it clear he doesn't want anything bought with "The money."
Dad tells Hugo to "Relax. I got this before you gave us the money."
It's the Camaro Z28; Dad fixed it. After the crash dad worked on it as a memorial to Hugo. "When I was fixing it up, it was almost like I was with ya. But now you're back. And it's all yours."
Dad gives him the key w/ rabbit foot key chain.

Inside the car, Hurley freaks because the numbers are displayed on the dash! Hurley wants to know if dad did this; if this is a joke. Dad calls it a coincidence.
Freaked out Hugo says -"No! Not a coincidence. No! I don't want this!"
Hugo runs away.
Hugo asks Ben if the greenhouse thing does what he says it will, he understands it's dangerous and unpredictable, but suppose it works and they move the island, "Doesn't that mean the dudes with the guns move too?"
Ben admits it does and he's working on that problem. Hugo's upset because he wants off it! John tells him it's a little late for that. Ben stops and asks for the binoculars and tells them to get lower to the ground as they are at the Orchid. Ben shares with John that Widmore knows about this place and knows what they need is inside. John thought Ben had no idea what Widmore wanted.
Ben admits to not being entirely truthful.
John-"When were you ever entirely truthful?"
Ben has John take a look through the binoculars, "Watch the plants at the back." {Hint to things being hidden in plain sight.
Ben-"They're already here."

The raft approaches the freighter.
Dan announces, "We're back!"
He tells Desmond Sayid went after Jack and the chopper. Desmond helps the passengers out and Dan will head back for the next group.
Jin and Sun hear Michaels voice. {He says he fixed the.}
Desmond tells Hendricks that the engines work so, "Take us to the island."

Desmond wants him to be sure to follow the bearing exactly, 305.
Hendricks says he's getting R.F. interference with the fathometer and he can't see the reef.
Desmond asks how that's possible with the radio room down. Something on this boat is broadcasting. Hendricks won't go closer than five miles off the coast if they don't turn it off.
Desmond will locate it.

Sawyer asks Jack if he cut himself shaving. {The monitor is beeping.} Jack tells him Juliet took out his appendix a couple of days ago. Sawyer feels like he missed a lot while away.
Jack says, "We're here."
They hear noise/rattling from the chopper. Frank is cuffed inside.
Frank tells Sawyer to get a tool box from the back compartment so he can get him out of the cuffs. Frank admits to dropping the phone on the beach so they could find them and he could fly them out of there. Lapidus tells Jack that Sayid and Des were smart to keep their asses on the boat; that's the safest place to be, "Because when the boys I brought over here come stomping out of this jungle, you're gonna wanna be long gone."
The boys are at the greenhouse, "Perched up there waiting to snatch Linus."
Jack confirms that once they cut him free that he'll fly them out of there.
Frank also confirms that once the boys have Ben, nothing good will come to the people with him.

Sawyer is concerned and tells Jack that Hugo is with Ben, "Son of a bitch."

A photo of Christian Shephard is displayed in the church.   Jack is speaking at the memorial service. Kate holds Aaron,{How old is Aaron here?} Hurley, Sayid and Nadia are also there.

Jack shares that 10 months ago he wrote on the back of a cocktail napkin in the airport in Sydney what he was going to say at his father's funeral and he doesn't remember what he wrote. Jack tells us his father couldn't stand eulogies, "They only good thing about a wake is the free booze, he'd say."
Jack feels it's not much of a wake because he won't even be able to bury him.
Jack says "Good bye, dad. I loved you. I miss you."
Jack tells his mom he'll be at the house later; {Mom w/wedding ring.} they love each other. Mom is so glad he's home. Kate tells Jack he did that well.
Jack-"I had a lot of practice." {Huh?}
A blond woman asks to speak with Mr. Shephard. {Not Dr. Shephard?} She tells Jack she believes that Christian was in Australia to see his daughter. The woman mentions she was still in the hospital so she never saw him. Jack is shocked! Jack could check dads phone records if he doesn't believe her claim. The woman also goes on to say the daughter was on flight 815, probably sitting a few rows from him. They were in the air for six hours and never knew they were related. She was one who died when the plane hit the water; her name was Claire.
Jack is really, really shocked!
The woman comments to Kate that her son is beautiful. Jack just looks at Aaron.

Sun asks Michael how he got back to New York.
Michael-"Uh, Walt and I uh, uh, we took Ben's boat and we followed his bearing. A couple of days we came to an island, you know, with people, sold the boat, we hopped a cargo ferry back to the states, didn't tell anybody who we were."

He says he DOES NOT WORK FOR BEN. He's trying to make up for what he did, "trying to help you out here. Translate what I said."
Jin admits he understands.
Desmond busts open the door and screams for Michael; he needs him.
Des leads Michael, Jin and Sun to a room filled with C-4. {Wow how convenient!} Jin says something in Korean to Sun.
Jin-"Now!"
Sun leaves.

Kate tells Sayid the tracks aren't Jacks or Sawyers, "They're different tracks, fresh and they're doubling back behind us."
Sayid yells out, "Whoever you are come out now!"
Richard comes out, hands up, tells them to relax and to drop their guns.
Sayid-"Take one more step." All of a sudden they are surrounded by armed Others; dressed in the brown drab garb.
Richard takes their guns.

John, looking through binoculars says, "I see two of them. But not the one who killed Alex."
Ben says he's there.
Ben hands is baton to John and wants him to listen very carefully because he won't have time to repeat it...Ben goes on to quickly ramble exact instructions, "You're gonna go into that greenhouse through that hole there, once inside you're gonna turn left go about 20 paces until you see a patch of Anthuriums on your left, they're in a alcove against the north wall face that wall reach down with your left hand you'll find a switch that activates the elevator. The elevator takes you down to the actual Orchid station."

John wants to know what he's supposed to do about the armed men inside. Ben will take care of them. John wonders how.
Ben-"How many times do I have to tell you, John I always have a plan."
Ben walks toward the Orchid.

Sun exit's the ship door to the deck.
Jack and Sawyer walk away from the chopper.
Richard leads the posse with Kate and Sayid.
John and Hurley watch Ben.
Ben enters the greenhouse; hands raised.
Keamy comes out... "My name is Benjamin Linus. I believe you're looking for me."
Keamy points the gun between Ben's eyes, but opts to knock him out instead.

I won't rehash the same info as my "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" blog.   Head back there for that additional info.
Could the Oceanic six be six who are being discharged from duty? Did they get tossed out? Or did they just want off that badly? Debriefing? Another level?
Are they the next big shots in charge of the "Island"? Could they be in line to take over the family business? Or is there something extra that makes them different, separate from the rest?
Is John on his way to bringing the family back together?

Things to note…Questions to ask...

* Is Patch, Charlie and Eko inside the Orchid? Or just repeated "Island" data (so to speak)
* Did the Oceanic 6 have to drink the juice to get back?
* Could the whole "Island" be a "Green house", Biosphere Or a Moon Pool?
* Is the "island/Islands" in a "container"? Is it really in a cold place? Is it only 5 miles off shore somewhere?
* Is the "Island" hidden by 'Plates' or rocks? Is it underwater? Beside moving, can it fly?
* Why wait all that time to have Christian's memorial service?
* The Set Altitude on the plane's dash was on all zeros! Hmmm....simulation...

Vocabulary and Research…
* Suture-
An album by American coldwave band Chemlab.
- The suture is an external feature of the shell of a snail, a shelled gastropod mollusk.
- A suture is in structural geology a major fault zone through an orogen or mountain range.
- Sutures separate terrains: tectonic units that have different plate tectonic metamorphic and paleogeographic histories.
* A greenhouse (also called a glasshouse or hothouse) is a building where plants are cultivated.
- Operation Greenhouse was the fifth American nuclear test series, the second conducted in 1951.
* Mahâbhûta: is Pali for the "Great Elements." The 4 Great Elements (Pali: cattâro mahâbhûtâni) are earth, water, fire and air. Mahâbhûta is generally synonymous with catudhâtu, which is Pâli for the "4 Elements."   In early Buddhism, the 4 Elements are a basis for understanding and for liberating oneself from suffering.

I still feel this could be called Further Instructions Part 2!
Check out my past notes for the connections. Read Further Instructions or Instructing Further and Tricia Tanaka is Dead notes.

The Wizard of Oz motif is all over this episode. Dorothy thinks she leaves home to go to Oz.  In Oz, without her realizing it, she is surrounded by her friends and family who are in costume/disguise; playing other characters. She tries very hard to get back home. The reality is it was all in her head. She never left home and her family was always there with her. I see the same thing with the Losties. The "Island"="home". Surrounded by their friends and family the whole time. Watching.

Love to all who are "LOST"™

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! Things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either. I hate spoilers! I stand clear of reading certain sites, as to not take me off my own research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Good! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues in bold.
